Feeling overwhelmed, stuck or unlike yourself?

Perhaps you are managing on the outside, but inside things feel much harder.

You may be anxious or overwhelmed, struggling with a loss or major change, finding work increasingly difficult, or questioning who you are and what you want from your life. Sometimes there is an obvious reason for how we feel. At other times, we simply reach a point where the way we have always coped no longer seems to work.

You don’t need to arrive at therapy knowing exactly what is wrong or what needs to change. We can work that out together.

How I can help
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, grief and bereavement, relationship difficulties, workplace stress, low self-esteem, life transitions and questions around identity, purpose and meaning.

I have a particular interest in the human experience of work: how pressure, difficult relationships, expectations, organisational culture and our working identity can affect how we feel about ourselves both at work and in the rest of our lives. My doctoral research explores employees’ lived experiences of workplace counselling.

What is it like to work with me?
My approach is warm, informal and collaborative.

I won’t sit silently while you do all the talking, and I won’t tell you how you should live your life. I will listen carefully, ask questions, offer another perspective and, when it feels useful, gently challenge some of the assumptions you may hold about yourself or your situation.

There is room for difficult conversations in therapy, but there is also room for humour, curiosity and the ordinary messiness of being human.

My primary approach is existential psychotherapy. Rather than seeing you simply as a collection of symptoms to be fixed, I am interested in understanding your experience as a whole; your relationships, work, body, history, choices, values and the world in which you are living.

The aim is not to turn you into somebody different. It is to help you understand yourself and your situation more clearly, become less constrained by patterns that are no longer serving you, and find ways of living that feel more genuinely your own.
Finding the right therapist matters. If something in what I have written resonates with you, you are very welcome to get in touch and we can have an initial 15-Min complimentary conversation about what is bringing you to therapy and whether working together feels right.
