Psychodynamic Counsellor
In-Person & Online Therapy sessions £80
I am a registered member with the BACP a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor within Humanistic Integrative approach for nearly two decades.
Having worked at The Hackney Bereavement Service it allowed me the opportunity to work with trauma up close and first hand.
Working both short- and long-term with adult clients who were going through the overwhelming pain which grief can leave. Clients often feel that part of themselves are missing through a significant loss. We work together to unpack and navigate truth of what is happening for them in that moment also examining unresolved grief.
I have supported clients through the isolation of work-related stress and the trauma that they face.
Going on to acquire a degree in Psychodynamic Counselling approach I continued my practice in a school setting working alongside children for a Place2Be
Aswell as talking therapy I would engage and use various techniques of their choice through play, sand tray, puppets and artwork, for the children to best share and tell their stories out aloud. I saw this as exciting, interesting and fun way of working with both children and adults alike, so went on to gain a Person-Centred Art Therapy Skills Diploma.
I have extensive experience and knowledge of working within different Mental Health and sight loss settings Mind, Private sector, NHS and Charities using Art Therapy Skills enabling individuals to express themselves creatively.
I have achieved a master’s degree within Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes.
I facilitate creative face to face and online group workshops for clients with disabilities. This is done through Writing for Wellbeing; these sessions are accessible and adapted for the particular client group.
I work face to face, online and on the phone
