Hello, my name is Naina, I'm a Person-Centred Therapist and Counsellor.
I offer one to one counselling sessions in a confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that suits you. Talking to a therapist may enable you to see a way forward.
I feel forming a therapeutic relationship with my clients is key for our work together. I work using the humanistic approach, exploring the whole person and understand that each person is unique.
My aim is to provide a warm, confidential space for you to work through any difficulties you may be having and to support you, enabling you to explore your feelings in a safe environment at your own pace.
In addition to my Private Practice, I am a volunteer at a hospice and offer counselling to patients with life limiting illness and those that have been bereaved. I also have experience of counselling cancer patients within an NHS Oncology department. Furthermore, both roles have enabled me to gain experience working with people with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of presenting issues.
Through my role as a Social Prescribing manager, I am also able to understand the challenges people are facing in their lives due to social isolation, financial worries and food poverty, often enabling the client to understand all the issues they are facing are linked.
As well as English, I also offer sessions in Gujrati and Hindi and have a good understanding of the issues faced by those in the Asian community.
