Psychotherapist

In-Person or Online Therapy sessions £120

Welcome, I am Jill, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist (HCPC-registered and BPS-chartered) with experience of working with adults of all ages, adolescents and young people. I work with individuals, couples and parents. I have a special interest in working with neurodivergent individuals and parents of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I also work with adults affected by adoption. I have worked in the NHS Community Health Services, Charitable organisations and in schools.

I have experience working with a range of challenging issues and psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, loss, relationship issues, attachment problems, trauma, life transitions, identity and low self-esteem. My approach to therapy is collaborative with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. I endeavour to create a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can explore your experiences and feelings with the aim of making positive changes that will benefit you in your current and future life.

Therapy will be tailored to your individual needs. I integrate a range of approaches including person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapies, compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and existentialism.

Having studied developmental psychology I have a particular interest in developmental differences such as ASC and ADHD. I have conducted research on motherhood, parents’ experiences of adolescent individuation, and adoption. These are all key areas of interest in my practice.

If you would like more information, please feel free to get in touch with me for a 20-minute free initial consultation where we can discuss your therapy needs.

I am registered with Axa, Aviva, WPA and Vitality assurance companies.

I offer concessionary rates.
