Thank you for visiting my page. I am a Clinical Integrative Psychotherapist, accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
I offer a confidential, safe, and supportive space for clients who may be struggling with life’s challenges. Modern life can place enormous pressure on us, often leading to difficult emotions such as anxiety, anger, frustration, and overwhelm. These emotional stresses can also contribute to psychosomatic symptoms, including chronic pain, inflammation, fatigue, and other physical health difficulties.
Therapy can help restore balance to the body and mind. It can calm an agitated nervous system, support emotional healing, and relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress.
My journey into therapy
I came to psychotherapy later in life following my own experience of chronic back pain. At the time, I was working as a tour guide, but my pain became so severe that I struggled to walk and had to stop working. Through therapy, I came to understand that the root of my pain was emotional. This powerful experience sparked my interest in the connection between emotional distress and physical symptoms.
For me, therapy is ultimately about helping people feel better. As human beings, we are all vulnerable to life’s challenges, but therapy can profoundly shift how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. It can be a deeply meaningful, healing, and inspiring process.
My training and experience
I completed a five-year training programme at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London. I am accredited by the UKCP and remain committed to ongoing professional development through additional training, workshops, and research.
My experience includes a secondment at Caravan, a drop-in and telephone counselling service offering support to anyone in need. I have also worked with Home-Start, where I provided compassionate, non-judgemental, and confidential support to families with young children, and with Fresh start, where I offered affordable, longer-term psychotherapy for clients experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, anger management difficulties, bereavement, and low self-esteem.
How I work
I practise Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapy. My way of working is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and tools in order to tailor therapy to each client’s individual needs.
I offer warmth, empathy, and a non-judgemental therapeutic relationship, creating a space where clients can safely explore their inner world, deepen self-understanding, and feel genuinely heard and seen.
Looking after my own wellbeing
For my own mental health and wellbeing, I walk regularly and practise yoga and meditation. I also love travelling and exploring faraway places, which helps me stay connected to a wider sense of meaning, perspective, and curiosity.
Working with clients in Finchley
Working in Finchley allows me to support clients in a vibrant and diverse part of North London. I value working with people from a wide range of cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, and I welcome the richness and individuality that each person brings to therapy.
I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I aim to provide a calm, accepting, and thoughtful environment where clients can begin that process at their own pace.
My consultation room
My consultation room is not simply a physical setting; it is an important part of the therapeutic process. It has been thoughtfully arranged to support reflection, safety, and healing. The light, atmosphere, and calming colours are all chosen to help create a sense of peace, comfort, and focus.
