Therapist & Counsellor
Therapy Sessions £75 Online £55 concession £45
Aga is a qualified person-centred therapist and counsellor offering therapy in Finchley and online. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and holds a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Aga offers a calm, confidential and accepting environment where you can speak openly about whatever is troubling you. You may already understand what you are struggling with, or you may simply feel that something is not right and need space to make sense of it.
Her experience includes supporting people with:
• Anxiety and depression
• Trauma and difficult past experiences
• Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
• Identity and self-worth
• Bereavement, grief and loss
• Cancer and other physical health conditions
• Pregnancy and infant loss
• Infertility and the experience of having a rainbow baby
• Work-related stress and emotional exhaustion
• Relationship difficulties
• Major life changes and periods of uncertainty
Aga recognises that starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly when you are unsure where to begin. You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clearly defined goal. Therapy can begin with whatever feels most present for you.
How Aga Works
At the heart of Aga’s work is the belief that you are the person who knows your own life most deeply. Rather than telling you what to do, she works alongside you, helping you explore your feelings, understand your experiences and identify what you may need moving forward.
Her person-centred approach is based on empathy, honesty, acceptance and respect. She aims to build a therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe enough to be yourself without fear of judgement, pressure or criticism.
Aga also works integratively, meaning she adapts therapy to suit your individual needs. Where appropriate, she may draw on trauma-informed practice, mindfulness, grounding exercises and approaches that help you recognise your strengths and internal resources.
Clients often value Aga’s patience and her ability to give them time to speak and reflect without feeling rushed. She listens carefully and may gently draw attention to recurring themes, emotional patterns or connections that can support a deeper understanding of yourself.
Therapy with Aga is not about forcing change before you are ready. It is about creating the conditions in which greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and meaningful change can gradually develop.
You May Be Considering Therapy Because You Are:
• Feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or emotionally stuck
• Constantly questioning yourself or struggling with self-criticism
• Carrying the impact of painful or traumatic experiences
• Feeling disconnected from yourself or uncertain about who you are
• Grieving someone, something or a future you had hoped for
• Finding relationships difficult, painful or unfulfilling
• Experiencing loneliness or feeling misunderstood
• Going through a significant change in your personal or professional life
• Struggling with stress, burnout or pressure at work
• Living with illness or adjusting to changes in your physical health
• Holding feelings of anger, shame, guilt or sadness
• Wanting a confidential space to talk without knowing exactly what you need
Pregnancy, Infant Loss and Infertility Support
Aga has undertaken specialist training in pregnancy and infant loss, infertility and supporting people following the birth of a rainbow baby.
These experiences can involve complex emotions, including grief, anxiety, anger, guilt, isolation and uncertainty. Friends and family may not always understand the depth of the loss or the continuing emotional impact.
Aga provides a compassionate space where these experiences can be acknowledged and explored without expectation, judgement or pressure to “move on”.
