I am a qualified clinical psychologist with experience of working in NHS therapeutic and psychological services since 2004. Alongside my private practice I work in an NHS service for adults with long term mental health problems including depression, anxiety and trauma, also providing clinical support to multidisciplinary staff members, teaching, training and supervision.
I work with people who experience a range of mental health issues from mild concerns to complex and enduring problems including trauma and psychosis. The therapeutic approaches I use are CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. I work collaboratively and flexibly with my clients in order to develop a personal and tailored understanding of their issues, treatment plans and therapeutic work. I believe that the client is the expert in their own life and experiences, the psychologist brings the expertise in therapy and together we work to understand and address the issues you wish to focus on.
