Antonia Caplan
CBT Psychotherapist

Sessions Online £85 or In-Person £100*

Since obtaining my psychology degree from the University of Aston in 2004, my

career has been devoted to advancing mental health care. Inspired by my

grandfather who was a respected NHS GP, I have always aspired to impact lives

positively in the healthcare sector.

I have enriched my academic background with specialised training and

certifications in psychotherapy and counselling, including a Postgraduate Certificate

in Professional Counselling from the University of Chester in 2008 and a

Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from 2014. My professional

journey includes significant roles such as Deputy Clinical Lead in an NHS Talking

Therapy Service, leveraging over ten years of experience in applying Cognitive

Behavioural Therapy (CBT) within the NHS across London.

I am skilled in a broad range of therapeutic approaches and have continually

updated my competencies with certifications such as Trauma-Focused CBT

interventions for complex PTSD (2022), and Compassion Focused Therapy for IAPT

Services (2020). My practice is deeply informed by ongoing research, and I maintain

alignment with the latest NICE guidelines, which endorse CBT as a preferred

treatment for various mental health conditions including depression and anxiety

disorders.

In therapy, my approach is grounded in honesty and openness, aiming to facilitate profound and meaningful changes in my patients lives. I specialise in managing anxiety disorders, depression, phobias, and PTSD. My extensive experience also covers delivering therapy through diverse formats; virtual, in-person, and telephone.

My commitment extends to individuals coping with long-term health conditions and complex psychological challenges, offering personalised care tailored to each patient’s unique situation.

I believe in the transformative power of a supportive

therapeutic relationship, emphasising regular progress reviews to ensure the effectiveness of treatment.

My practice is not just about providing care but empowering individuals to actively engage in their recovery process, thereby achieving lasting well-being.

*In the evenings after 6pm my online CBT therapy sessions are £95 and In-person £110
